This 2008 Taylor T5-C1 in Flame Maple Natural is Taylor's original hybrid acoustic-electric platform, a hollowbody design built to move seamlessly from clean acoustic tones to full electric overdrive without changing guitars. A figured flame maple top over a sapele body shows real depth and shimmer under the gloss natural finish, dressed with white body binding and purfling and a Venetian cutaway for upper-fret access. At just 6.08 lbs., it's remarkably light and resonant for a hollowbody.

The bolt-on tropical mahogany neck carries a Standard profile (.820" at the 1st fret, .870" at the 12th), topped with an ebony fretboard bound in white, T5 Artist inlays, and a 12" radius across 21 frets and a 24 7/8" scale length. A 1 11/16" synthetic bone nut leads to Taylor-branded tuners in nickel/chrome, and the headstock carries an ebony veneer for a clean, understated look. An ebony bridge with a Micarta saddle rounds out the acoustic-side hardware.
