The Tungsten Amplification Buckwheat is a boutique, hand-built 1x12 combo that carries forward the signature voicing that made Tungsten's Crema Wheat a cult favorite. As the next amp in Tungsten's Wheat line, the Buckwheat takes everything players love about the Crema Wheat and gives you more of it — a slightly larger cabinet, more iron in the transformers, and a heavier-magnet speaker all add up to bigger, fuller tone without sacrificing the essential grab-n'-go character that makes these amps so easy to live with. At just 34 lbs. and dressed in its classic tweed with brown grille, it's a portable boutique combo, and it ships with the included Studio Slip cover to keep it protected on the move.

Under the hood, a pair of cathode-biased 6L6 power tubes pushes 30 watts through a single 12" Celestion G12H, with a 2 x 12AX7 preamp and a 5AR4 rectifier rounding out the all-tube signal path. Because the power section is cathode-biased, you can swap power tubes and rectifiers at will without any need for rebiasing — a rare and welcome bit of flexibility that lets you fine-tune the amp's feel and response on your own terms. The larger cabinet, beefier transformers, and heavier-magnet G12H give the Buckwheat a deep, three-dimensional low end and generous headroom, so cleans stay open and lively while overdriven tones bloom with rich, harmonically complex saturation.
